Congress is our big opening event of the second semester.
During this event, Junior Orsi organized a day with lectures given by entrepreneurial and innovative speakers, with different workshops and activities.
We welcomed Nele De Witte (“wearable technology”), Serge Langhendries (“What with your private equity?”), Ewout Goudsmedt (“Negotiation is key in innovation”), Mathieu Mottrie (“Creax”), Prof. Valvekens (“Digital dentistry”), Dr.Ir. Tom Haeck (“Computer vision for surgical planning”), Filip De Craemer (“Time management”), Orsi Academy (“Introduction to laparoscopy workshop”), Chimes Gent (“suturing workshop”), Dr. Ir. Pierre Cherelle (“Axiles Bionics”), Prof. Dr. Van Dyck (“Innovative technology”).
With this event, we hope that our members feel inspired by all the possibilities in the world of medicine.
We want to form a platform between our speakers and students.
Furthermore, we invite our members to send scientific posters regarding innovative topics as a big opener of the evening. With this poster competition, we try to stimulate students to work evidence-based and encourage them to take part at organizing and participating in studies, as these are the foundation to make progress in healthcare.
