On the 4/11/21, Junior Orsi held their 2nd workshop of the Engineering Track. Regardless of some technical issues, the night was a success!
It started with an introduction in funding by Tom Braekeleirs, from BlueHealth Innovation Center. Followed by Louis-Philippe Broze, he is co-founder of the start-up Spentys. The evening furthered with a lecture from Jasper Van Hoorick&Coralie Greant from the Spin-off Xpect-INX. Ending the event with an interesting Q&A.
The lectures focused on how to convince business angels, venture capitalist etc to invest in your idea. And what are the first steps in starting your project.
To conclude the evening our fascinating speakers gave some important take-aways for our members:
– Just do it! Better today, than tomorrow!
– Create a big vision! Do not underestimate your idea.
– Believing in your idea, will help to sell it to potential funders.
And last but not least: Surround yourself with people that have the experience and wisdom to take your business to the next level.
We would like to thank our speakers for their inspiring lecture and Orsi Academy for their support. We hope to have encouraged some of our members to start their own business in the future.
