Belgian Brilliance – Junior Orsi Innovation Congress of 2025

We extend a warm invitation to you for our upcoming annual Congress. Belgian Brilliance is the Junior Orsi Innovation Congress of 2025, celebrating the groundbreaking contributions of Belgian pioneers in healthcare. For this event, we have developed 7 tracks, each named after a remarkable figure with a unique story. These tracks have been carefully curated with active Belgian leaders in the respective fields, ensuring that each session is enriched with expertise from some of the most influential professionals in healthcare.

Throughout the event, a wide range of topics will be covered, spanning from gynaecology to surgery, and from genetics to economics.

What can you expect?
You’ll have the opportunity to participate in a captivating lecture on insights in cardiovascular medicine by Prof. Dr. Désiré Collen, a leading expert in the field. Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Bert Callewaert will provide valuable insights into dermatogenetics, shedding light on the cutting-edge research and innovations in gene therapy and personalized healthcare.

Additionally, with his vast experience and esteemed leadership positions, Prof. Dr. Bruno Colmant will offer a unique perspective on the business world, sharing valuable lessons and insights from his distinguished career in the corporate sector. Dr. Arne Decramer, an orthopedic surgeon, will guide you through the intricacies of hand surgery, sharing groundbreaking insights into innovation within orthopedics. His expertise will offer a glimpse into the future of this evolving field.

EchoSense will lead a workshop in collaboration with Fibroscan. Mediaventures will host a workshop on surgical communication within the operating room. This interactive session will demonstrate how advancements in telecommunication are reshaping teamwork and efficiency in the surgical environment.

For the first time ever, Junior Orsi will present a session on investment strategies as one track will focus and bring together ambitious students interested in finance of life sciences, with hands-on workshops in private equity and investments. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to enhance your skills in surgical simulation during a hands-on robotic workshop guided by Prof. Van Trappen, a renowned gynaecologist, and Dr. Vauterin, an influential nose, throat and ear surgeon.
